最近，立达出国的一些同学要准备2024年9月去加拿大读本科了，很多学生在递交UBC申请时发现还需要写很多的essay，那这些Essay到底是什么？我们特别整理来了下来，方便同学们在还没有填写UBC的EducationplannerBC的时候，就知道需要填写什么问题，先行准备。
UBC要求每一位申请UBC的申请人，都需要填写这个UBC profile，而且每年的问题其实大同小异，同学们可以先看一看，管中窥豹，了解自己也了解自己要申请的大学。

The personal profile is a crucial section in your UBC application. This is your chance to tell us about the things that are important to you, your significant achievements, what you’ve learned from your experiences, and the challenges you’ve overcome. What is the personal profile?
The personal profile is a crucial section in your UBC application. This is your chance to tell us about the things that are important to you, your significant achievements, what you’ve learned from your experiences, and the challenges you’ve overcome. It’s our chance to determine whether you’re a good fit for UBC and it will impact your admission and scholarship consideration.
In this section of the application, you will be presented with a number of short-answer questions based on the degree(s) you are applying to. Read through them all and think carefully about what you want to say before you start writing.
Your responses may be reviewed for authenticity and originality using plagiarism and AI detection software tools and may be retained in a database for comparison with other work. By submitting your personal profile, you consent to this review and confirm that your profile represents your own ideas and is written in your own words. Any plagiarism will be considered an act of academic misconduct and result in the withdrawal of your application or admission to UBC.
Your personal profile responses will be reviewed by trained readers, some of whom are located in other countries. By submitting your personal profile responses, you consent to temporary access and storage of these profiles outside Canada. To help ensure your privacy and limit the potential for bias, please do not include personal information, such as your name or contact information, in your responses.

Reference Guide推荐人
Please submit the names of two referees who can comment on how prepared you are to study at UBC. One of your referees must be able to speak about an activity or experience you describe in your long-answer responses above. Your referees can be your employer, a community member, a coach, a teacher, an instructor, or someone else who knows you well. If you are currently attending high school, one of your referees must be a school official, such as a Grade 12 or senior year counsellor, a teacher, or an IB coordinator. Neither referee should be a friend, a family member, or a paid agent.
If you are applying to a Bachelor of Education degree at UBC Vancouver, you must arrange for your two referees to send their confidential references directly to UBC.
